With a heart full of fond memories and deep gratitude, we celebrate the life of Paul Stephen Hinson who was born on April 17, 1948, in Tulsa, OK, and left us on August 31, 2026. Remembering Paul, we recall the words of Emily Dickinson: "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
Paul was a steadfast pillar of strength, a characteristic that was reflected in his role as a supervisor in airline maintenance. His dedication and hard work earned him the respected position of American Airlines crew chief, an achievement he held with pride for over 40 years. His professional life was a testament to his diligence, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Paul was a man of simple pleasures. His love for the casino was only surpassed by his love for his dogs and sports. Whether it was a walk in the park with his furry friends or cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, Paul's joy was infectious.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Hinson; his brother, Mark Hinson; his sister, Vera Carrol; his son, Stephen Hinson; and his parents, Noah and Mildred Hinson.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Angie Batson and husband, Michael of Prue, OK, and Cheryl Rogers and husband, Randy of Sand Springs, OK; daughter in law, Autumn Hinson of Tulsa OK; grandchildren, Devin Bates, Ryan Bates, Alec Luetke, Jessi Stone, Stephen Hinson, Conner Huey, Trace Hinson, Tara Rogers, Tamara Rogers, Michael Rogers, and Nathan Rogers as well as many great grandchildren; and brother and sister in law, Larry and Kathie Hinson of Arkansas.
Please join us to honor Paul's life during visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm CDT, and the funeral service on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 am CDT. Both will be held at the Legacy Chapel at Woodland Memorial Park, 1200 N. Cleveland Ave, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, 74063.
