Alfreda Elizabeth Camp Obituary (1943 - 2021)

Alfreda (Freda) Elizabeth Camp was born on August 20, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Erving and Florence Lawrence. She passed away on December 14, 2021. Freda is preceded in death by her parents, Erving and Florence Lawrence. Her sisters Joann Satterfield and Shirley Holland and her brother Johnny Lawrence. She is survived by her husband, Joe Camp of Arlington, Texas. Son Brett Camp of Hollywood. Son Blain Camp of Arlington, Texas. Daughter Brook Vogel and her husband Rod Vogel of Pantego, Texas. Sister, Margenia Hancock of Fort Worth, Texas. Grandchildren Justin Camp of Grand Prairie, Texas. Belinda and Brenden Colvin of Arlington, Texas. Freda and Joe met and became a couple in the 9th grade at Roosevelt Junior High in Tulsa and graduated Central High School in Tulsa together in 1961. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together raising three children - Brett Camp of Hollywood CA, Brook Vogel of Pantego, TX, and Blain Camp of Arlington, TX. They have three grandchildren - Justin Camp of Grand Prairie, TX - Belinda and Brenden Colvin of Arlington, TX. Freda was an excellent seamstress making home decor, clothes, doll clothes to formal gowns for her daughter and toys. Her decoration skills and tastes were amazing - no matter where her home was located, she made it beautiful, warm and inviting. She had multiple collections she added to over the years such as German CoBoy figurines, Pendleton Blankets, Native items, dishes, glassware and books. She had a massive collection of garden gnomes which she hand painted with a fresh coat of paint each Spring that sat in her rock and plant gardens. She very much looked forward to attending Native events and activities including the Delaware Pow Wow watching the dances, eating Fry Bread and Grape Dumpling and spending time with Joe's family - Nancy, Dude, Sue, John, Mike, Billy, John son, Levi, Gina, Scotty, Matthew and JT, Jamie, Ann, Herman, Mary Lou and many others.
