Ardith Y. King Obituary (1950 - 2013) - Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Ardith Y. King, age 62 of Sand Springs, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Tulsa. Ardith was born in Powers Lake, North Dakota on September 6, 1950 to Walter and Nellie Beightol Weflen. The family moved to Webster City, Iowa, where she graduated from high school and met Glenn King. The couple married on July 13, 1968 and moved to Sand Springs in 1982 and started the Son Country Insurance Agency in Sand Springs in 1983. She was an integral part of the agency and helped several other agents start their own business, and on many occasions trained people for competing agencies. Ardith achieved the CPCU designation in insurance, which is the highest educational degree in insurance. She is survived by her husband Glenn King of the home, three daughters; Crystal Taylor and husband Vernon Hilton of Sand Springs, Rachael settles and husband James of Sand Springs, Rebecca Glenn and husband Chris of Clearwater, Florida, grandsons; Jacob Fortune and Zachery Glenn, granddaughters Jessie Settles, Madison Settles, April Settles, Catherine Settles and another girl on the way to be born in five weeks Lexi Taylor. Ardith was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Nellie Weflen and a brother Robert Weflen.
