Clayburn Harris Obituary (1931 - 2012)

Clayburn Ray Harris, age 81 of Terlton, passed from this life on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Tulsa. Clayburn was born on July 16, 1931 in Keystone to Clayton and Ruby (Veteto) Harris. He graduated from Keystone school and entered the United States Air Force where he served for eleven years. Clayburn was honorably discharged from the military and went to work in the grocery business where he eventually managed several grocery stores during his life. Clayburn married Florence Hayhurst in 1986 and went to work for Ford Glass in Tulsa as a Glass Cutter where he worked for the next thirteen years. Clayburn was a 32nd degree Mason at the Mannford Lodge # 515. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mannford and sang in the choir and also sang many solos. He enjoyed widdeling, cooking and good food and fellowship. He is survived by his wife Florence of the home, two sisters Leorva June Harden and husband A.V. of Bruceton, Tennessee and Mae Elizabeth Mallard of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, grandchildren Steven Osborn of Hilboro, Oregon, Toby Osborn of Sand Springs, Lyndsey Kay Henson and husband Robert Allen of Owasso, Tabitha and Beth Hollingsworth both of Tulsa. Also surviving Clayburn where four great grandchildren. Clayburn was preceded in death by his parents, son Roger Harris, daughter Holly Harris and a brother P.C. Harris.
