Doyle Taff Obituary (1937 - 2011) - Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Doyle Clyde Taff, age 74 of Sand Springs, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, September 5, 2011 in Tulsa. Doyle was born on March 16, 1937 to Amos William and Ruth Jane (Pruitt) Taff in Haskell, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sand Springs High School and married Donna Garland on June 23, 1956 in Tulsa. Doyle retired from the United States Air Force after serving twenty-three years and achieving the rank of SMSgt. After years of being a cabinet-maker, he then went to work as Superintendant for Chesapeake Custom Homebuilders for several years before retiring. He and Donna were members of the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. Doyle also was an avid golf lover and enjoyed building custom golf clubs for others. Doyle is survived by his wife Donna Taff of the home, step-mother Dorothy Jean Taff, two sons, Bryan Taff (and wife Janet) of Delphos, OH, Steven Taff (and wife Christine) of Skiatook, daughter Denise Dorminy (and husband Jon) of Martinsburg, WV, brother Amos William Jr. (and wife Joanna) of Sand Springs, four sisters: Freda Cowen (and husband Ken) of Sand Springs, Dorothy Baker of Tulsa, Beverly Ryan (and husband Terry) of Broken Arrow, Judy Murray (and husband Charlie) of Clearwater, FL, eight grand children: Matthew Taff of Delphos, OH, Shanna Kerans (and husband Jeff) of Orlando, FL, Jarett Taff of Skiatook, Stacy Taff of Delphos, OH, Jonathon Dorminy (and wife Rachel) of Martinsburg, WV, Caitlin Taff of Sand Springs, Hannah Taff of Skiatook, Lucas Dorminy (and wife Kayla) of Martinsburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Amos Taff and Ruth Taff Brown. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, 2:00 p.m., September 8, 2011 at The First Baptist Church of Sapulpa, 200 S. Elm, Sapulpa, OK. Officiating will be Pastor Doyle Pryor and a graveside service will immediately follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs.
