Glenda Patricia Wood, age 73 of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2014 in Tulsa. Glenda was born on September 29, 1940 in Oklahoma City to Ned Cecil and Helen Marie (Grant) Langley Sr. she graduated from Sand Springs High School and was the first Miss Sand Springs. She married Harley "Jim" Wood on October 5, 1966 in Tulsa. Glenda worked over 35 years for the Sand Springs School System when she retired. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her daughter Kimberlee Kate Hughes & Randell Lane of Sand Springs, a brother; Thomas Gorden McKee and wife Velma of Tennessee, three grandchildren; Shannon Dale Hughes Jr., Ashlee Marie Hughes and Kristopher Blake Hughes. Also surviving Glenda was four great-grandchildren; Bentlee Allen Rhine, Mason Lang, Nevaeh Nicole Hughes and Waylon Martin Hughes. Cousins; Larry Fincannon & wife Suzie and Debbie Zickafoose. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband; Harley "Jim" Wood and parents; Ned and Helen Langley Sr., a brother; Ned Cecil "Gobble or Rusty" Langley Jr., and an aunt; ILa Hughes.
