Jerry Robert Lund Sr. Obituary (1954 - 2017)

Jerry Robert Lund, Sr., 62 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Robert Harold Lund and Betty Ann Powell Lund. Jerry was a former industrial painter in the manufacturing industry and previously attended the Sand Springs United Methodist Church. In his younger years, Jerry served in the United States Navy, serving for 12 years. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing as well as camping. He enjoyed traveling, motorcycles and spending time with his family. Jerry liked collecting knives, guns and had a huge hat collection. Jerry is survived by his Mother, Betty Lund of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two sons, Jerry Lund, Jr. of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Jesse Lund and girlfriend Andrea Gribble of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three daughters, Maryann Beverly and husband Mark Sowell of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jennifer Lowry and husband Doug of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Melanie Lund and fianc Ryan Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two brothers, Mark Lund and wife Marilyn of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Nick Lund and wife Theresa of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Teresa Minton of Claremore, Oklahoma and Linda Lund of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Taylor and Briana Beverely, Dolcey Sowell, Kenady Farmer-Lund, Austin Lowry, Anna Lowry and Abel Lowry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Milagros Lund in 2014, his father and two brothers, Broder and Clyde Lund. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home's Legacy Chapel, 1200 N. Cleveland, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
