Joylene (Snodgrass) Lancaster, age 70 of Afton formaly of Sand Springs, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Tulsa.\r\r\n\r\r\nJoylene was born on September 2, 1943 in Paden, Oklahoma to Robert "Roy" and Dorothy Ellen (Springer) Snodgrass. She attended school at Charles Page High School and Married J.D. Lancaster on November 23, 1960. Joylene worked for the Sand Springs School System in Food Service until retirement, where she was famous for her fresh, homemade rolls. \r\r\nJoylene loved to be around teenagers. She loved the excitement they had for life. Most of all, Joylene loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She never passed up an opportunity to spend time with them or show her love for them. Joylene was always full of life and laughter, and brought a smile to everyone she met. To put it simply, Joylene was a beautiful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.\r\r\n\r\r\nShe is survived by her husband J.D. Lancaster of the home, three sons Joe Lancaster, Kevin Lancaster and wife Loretta, Ed Lancaster and wife Stephanie, a daughter; Sheila Phillips and husband Paul of Sand Springs, three brothers; Wendell Snodgrass, Gene Snodgrass and Roger Snodgrass. Also surviving Joylene were ten grandchildren; Bryson Phillips, Shawn Phillips, Kendra Lancaster, Michael Phillips, Amanda Lancaster, Melissa Phillips, Jakob Lancaster, Kelsi Lancaster, Taylor Lancaster and Avery Lancaster.\r\r\n\r\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Dorothy Snodgrass and brother Don Snodgrass.
