Keith Ellsworth Feeley Obituary (1925

Keith was born September 25, 1925 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Ellsworth Feeley and Florence Walker Feeley. He graduated from high school in Chicago, IL and joined the United States Navy. He served in the Navy Seabees for over 22 years, transferring to Naval Fleet Reserve July 21, 1970. Keith served in three wars, World War II, Korean and Vietnam. During his career he received several accommodations including: Combat Action Ribbon, 5 Good Conduct Medals, American Campaign Service Medal, Asiatic/Pacific Service Medal, Victor Medal for World War II, Occupation of Japan Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 2 subsequent awards, Korean Service Medal with two battle awards, Antarctic Service Medal with winter over device where "Feeley Peak" is named in his honor, United States Vietnamese Service Medal with 4 battle stars and with Fleet Marine Force Combat Operation Insignia, United Nations Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Citation Medal and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. He was proud to have served in the American Theatre, Antarctic - Pacific - Philippine Liberation and the Japanese Occupation. Keith worked for Walton March, Inc in Highland Park, IL from 1970 - 1985 as Regional Sales Director. He was a member of American Legion #13, life member of V.F.W. Post #534, life member of the National Rifleman's Association and life member of the United Stated Navy Fleet Reserves. Survivors include his wonderful and understanding wife, Betty Sue Coble Feeley whom he married on November 25, 1997; three daughters, Karen Feeley of Broomfield, CO, Marie Ainsworth and husband Bill of Elmhurst, IL and Lynn Marie Moore of Athens, GA; two sons, Derek Feeley and wife Terry of Monroe, GA and Darrel Feeley and wife Mary Ann of Lighthouse Beach, FL, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Keith is also survived by Betty's children, Troy and Jo Wells and family of the Tulsa, OK area and Jana Coble and family of Dallas, Texas. Graveside service with full military rites will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Olympus Cemetery, Grove, OK. Services have been entrusted to Dillon Funeral Service in Sand Springs, OK.
