Marvin Lee Ward Obituary (1941 - 2021)

Marvin L. Ward was born April 12, 1941 in Denver City, Texas to Looney L. and Madge M. Ward. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 22, 2021. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1960 and served for four years active duty and two year reserved. After returning home, Marvin married Wilma J. Wilson. Marvin and Wilma were called to serve at Marvin's first church to minister in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He served the Lord ministering in Oklahoma as well as West Texas. In 2004 they moved back to Sapulpa, Oklahoma and upon retirement they continued to serve the people around them. Serving in numerous leadership roles, Marvin was a member of Reach Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was a man who centered his life on God, family, and friends. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Ward of the home; two daughters Mitzii Roughface and husband Jerry Roughface of Supulpa, Oklahoma, and Juniece McKinley of Houston, Texas; four grandsons, Rusty and wife Serenity Lopez of Kellyville, Joshua and wife Justine McKinley of Irving, TX, Tanner McKinley of Irving, and Koby Roughface of Sapulpa; two granddaughters Cortni McKinley and husband Bob Wharton of Houston, TX and Mikayla Champuang of Tulsa; two great-grandsons, Wyatt McCleery of Kellyville and Rhett Warton of Houston; five great-granddaughters, Tessa and Allie Short and Isabella Lopez of Kellyville, Camila and Natalia McKinley of Irving; two sisters, Judy Woodson of Temple, TX and Geneva Hargrove of Sweetwater, TX. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Looney and Madge Ward. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27th in the Reach Church at 1402 North 81st West Avenue in Sand Springs with Pastor Chad Stewart officiating. Interment at Ft.
