Mrs. Wanda Darlene Shadwick Obituary (1948 - 2015)

Wanda Darlene (Cory) Shadwick went to be with her Lord Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Sapulpa, Ok. with her loving family by her side. Wanda was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on March 25, 1948 to Charles Amos and Wanda Mae (Eubanks) Cory. Wanda was raised and schooled in Sand Springs graduating from Charles Page High School in 1966. She met Jimmy Lee Shadwick and they were united in marriage on June 17, 1965, they made their home in Sand Springs. Wanda worked at various places in Sand Springs and Tulsa but had to retire due to health issues. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was the greatest homemaker, well known for her cooking and baking. She loved the lake and especially loved watching Jimmy race boats. Wanda loved Christmas and spoiling the kids and grandkids. Wanda will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Wanda is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years Jimmy Lee Shadwick of the Home, son; Jerry Shadwick and wife Lori, and daughter, Stacy Schuler and husband Joey, grandchildren, Halee Dawn Swafford, Austin Dean Clifton Shadwick, Chance Ray Shadwick, Jessica Lee Schuler, Rebekah Anne Schuler, and Ella Marie Schuler, great grandchildren; Lane Dillon Grandstaff and Mason Anikin Dean Swafford. Brother; Floyd Cory, Sisters; Mary Katherine White, and Marsha Elaine Wilkerson. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Lisa Irene Trombley. Services were held Monday February 9, 2015 10:00AM at the Garden Height Freewill Baptist Church in Sand Springs with burial to follow at Woodland Memorial Park, arrangements were entrusted to Dillon Funeral Services Sand Springs.
