Opal L. Johnson Obituary (1920 - 2013)

Opal Johnson, age 93 of Sand Springs went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her home. Opal was born on January 20, 1920 to Claude Samuel and Goldie (Barrett) Miller in Oilton, Ok. She graduated from Oilton high school and married Stanley W Johnson in Drumright, Ok. The family made their home in Prattville. Opal retired from Sunoco Oil after twenty-eight years as an Administrative Secretary. Stanley preceded her in death. Opal was a member of the Trinity Baptist church for more than sixty years. She loved helping people and they loved her. She is survived by her two daughters; Myrna Thompson of Sand Springs, Jeanie Walker and husband Roland of Sand Springs, five grandchildren Ranlene Lewellan and husband Tommy of Sand Springs, Leigh Ann Osborn of Sand Springs, Rick Murray and wife Graciela of Sand Springs, Ronda Jean Greer and husband Darrell of Sapulpa, Lisa Kay Charlesworth of Sand Springs, six great grand children and one great-great grandchild. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters May Irene Miller and Beulah Maxine Ball.
