Ray Armstrong Obituary (1938

Ray C. Armstrong was born February 8, 1938 in Sapulpa the son of Chessie and Elbert (McGuffin) Armstrong. He passed from this life on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at his Sapulpa residence at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 2 days. Ray loved to work with wood; draw; and hunt and fish. His favorite pastime was going to different Casino's gambling. He worked for Rogers Galvanizing for 40 years retiring as a night supervisor. After retiring he worked as a carrier for the Tulsa World. His survivors include daughter, Patricia Lessley and husband, Mark of Sapulpa; son, Kenneth of Sapulpa; brothers, Cecil Armstrong and wife, Lisa of Coweta and Jerry Armstrong of Texas; sister, Faye Brigance of Sapulpa; grandsons, Steven Burleson and Dillon Armstrong; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Don and LeRoy Armstrong; and sister, Marie Bankston. There will be no viewing for Ray. A celebration of Ray's life is scheduled for 1pm, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Armstrong Residence, 12831 W. 86th St. S., Sapulpa, OK 74066.
