Robert Joe "Bob" McCray Obituary (1936 - 2018)

Passed from this life on the 4th day of October, 2018 in Sand Springs, OK, at the age of 82. Bob was born on September 29, 1936 in Tulsa, OK, the son of Henry R. McCray and Cleo Joan Summers McCray. Bob attended schools in Tulsa, OK: Riley, Mark Twain, Roosevelt and graduated from Central High School. Bob married Donna J. Wallace in Tulsa, OK, on July 8, 1961. They lived in Tulsa, Nowata, and Sand Springs. To this marriage was born daughter, Marianne McCray, on February 17, 1970. Bob was a fifty-two year member of Pipeliners Local Union, UA 798 Tulsa, OK. He was a pipeline welder and pipeline welding inspector. He traveled and worked all over the U.S. including Alaska, and South America, Algeria, Ecuador and Bolivia. Bob retired in 2000 but worked on several pipeline inspection projects afterward. Bob liked to fish crappie and catfish and enjoyed going to the latest movies and watching Westerns on TV as well as stories from the Bible. He loved to watch OSU and OU college football games as well as NFL football. Bob enjoyed going to Sunday School and church at Sand Springs Church of God until his health declined. Bob enjoyed the opportunity to see our great country and his family was able to travel with him at times and enjoy it with him. He is survived by: Loving wife: Donna J. David McCray.
