Steve Nelson Neely, 73, of Tulsa, OK passed away on November 27, 2023 of complications from esophageal cancer. He is preceded in death by his mother Margret May Neely and father Robert Milton Neely. He is survived by his son Wilder Joseph Neely. Steve was born on July 26, 1950. He was half Cherokee. He served his country as a radio and communications operator for the Navy on the USS Mount Hood during the Vietnam War receiving an honorable discharge. He graduated from Denver University with a BS. His early career was in oil and gas. He later moved to telecommunications with MCI and eventually founded his own company Cherry Communications. He was lifetime runner, an art and design collector, and architecture enthusiast. His family was multigenerational in the area owning the Clean and Shiny Car Wash since the 1950s.
