Virgil Orvilee Boyer Obituary (1930 - 2019)

Virgil Orvilee Boyer Born: July 29, 1930 in Tulsa, Ok Died: July 29, 2019 in Tulsa, Ok Orvilee was born to Ernest and Clara Boyer then of Tulsa, Ok out on the Sand Springs line. In about 1935 the family moves to Sand Springs, Ok and raised their children there. Ernest died in 1978 and Clara died in 1975. His oldest brother, Delva Leon (D.L) preceded Orvilee in death in 1999. The second son Ernest William (E.W) preceded Orvilee in death in 1995. Orvilee's younger sister, Beverly Ann Bean preceded him in death in 2016. Orvilee lived a long colorful life. He graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1948 and spent two years in college at Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Ok. He worked for Amoco Oil Company until retirement. He always enjoyed riding and collecting motorcycles and even had a motorcycle resale shop for many years in Sand Springs. He loved cars of all kinds and always had several at one time. He enjoyed collecting antique clocks. He always enjoyed being around his family and was an avid Boyer historian, He married Margie Lou Thompson on November 7, 1963 in Sand Springs and they made their home out west of town where they raised their two daughters. He is survived by his wife Margie Lou and his two daughters Donna Jean (Boyer) Lemmond and Lee Ann Boyer of Owasso. Rachel (Lemmond) Almy and husband Bryan of Claremore. And Erin Lemmond of Boston, Massachusetts
