Yvonne Wofford Obituary (1926

Yvonne Persall Wofford, 90 passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was born June 19, 1926 in Stigler, Oklahoma, a daughter of Illa and Baxter Hill. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Persall; brother, Boyd; sisters, Mildred, Lou, Bobbie and Duronda; and granddaughter, Angela Persall. The family of five girls and one boy, later settled in the Tulsa / Sand Springs area where Yvonne loved to sing with her family and they were known as the Singing Hill Sisters. Although they had the opportunity, Illa Hill would not allow them to sing anywhere but church events or singing conventions. She is survived by one son, Dennis Persall and wife Machelle of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Sharron Walsh and husband Larry of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Holly and Jamie Walsh and Erica, Amy Smith and husband Jason, Kimberly Persall, and Emily Capps and husband Dustin; and great-grandchildren, Forrest, Peyton, Caroline, Emily Kate, Noah, Angela and AJ, Jace, Avery and Callie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 N. Cleveland, Sand Springs, OK 74063. Viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodland Memorial Park.
