Carol "Joan" Davis passed away on October 16, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 9, 1943 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Sunshine (Feerer) Becker. She grew up on a farm in Fargo, Oklahoma with her family and graduated from Tangier School.\r\n Joan excelled in academics and went on to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Southwestern Adventist University with a Master's degree in Education. She taught 7th and 8th graders for 20 years. \r\n Joan met the love of her life Richard Davis and the two of them married July 6, 1969. From that union Joan and Richard had 2 children. \r\nJoan, loved her hobbies which included ceramics, sewing, crocheting and bird watching. Hummingbirds and blue birds were among her favorites to watch. Her greatest accomplishments were the many "thank you's" she received from her students for the help that she gave them along the way. Carol never met a stranger and was loving to anyone she ever encountered. She loved spending time with her family and loved ones and living life to the fullest. \r\nJoan is survived by her husband Richard Davis of the home. Son: Richard Scott Davis of Bedford, Texas; Daughter: Amy Sunshine Hyde and husband John Hyde of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Two grandchildren: Emily Sunshine Hyde and Evan John Hyde of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma: one sister Kay Lynn Sykes of Mounds, Oklahoma, one stepsister Barbara Long of Oklahoma, one stepbrother Delbert Joyner of Enid, Oklahoma. Along with a host of friends. She was proceeded in death by both her parents, two sisters; Betty Jane Kayler and Mary Beth Wheeling.
