Clyde Dearrell Watson, 79 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away in Lubbock, Texas on June 15, 2018. Dearrell was born on January 9, 1939 in Haskell County, Texas, 10th of 11 children, to Clyde Earl Watson and Hattie Elizabeth Sheilds Watson.\r\nDearrell served in the United States Army, was a restaurant manager, construction painter and afterwards became a commercial truck driver for over thirty years.\r\nHe married the true love of his life Diann Watson in 1982 and together they raised four daughters and two sons in Tulsa. His daughters quoted him as "an incorrigible romantic". He loved his family and taking care of them was his top priority. A very creative disciplinarian, he taught tough love in a genuine loving way. His philosophy was "If you can't do it right, don't do it at all". He was a very open-minded man and had a zest for living life to the fullest. He exercised this by example of taking care of himself, especially after surviving a major heart bypass surgery earlier in his life. He was a disciplined health nut. He enjoyed fishing, loved to watch old westerns and was a wonderful story teller.\r\n\r\nDearrell is survived by four daughters, Michelle Denon Watson of Austin, Texas, Sheilla Dewon Shea and Dawn Denise Lusk-Myer both of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Joy Kay Creamer and husband Richard A. of Owasso, Oklahoma; two sons, Christopher Lee Lusk and Dennis Vance Ritchey both of Springfield, Michigan; Dog, Toby of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Juanita Fox of Washington, Vernell Duvall of Pooleville, Texas and Louise Selman of Wylie, Texas; one brother, Larry Don Watson of Weatherford, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Diann Watson in 2017 and one grandson.\r\n\r\nArrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home's Legacy Chapel, 1200 North Cleveland, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery, Sand Springs. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home.
