Delmar Ray Whiteside Obituary (1938

Delmar Ray Whiteside was born on September 30th, 1938 in Keener-Boone County Arkansas. He passed away on July 19th, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Delmar was born September 30th, 1938 in Keener-Boone County, Arkansas to Mable Whiteside (Haney) and Coy Whiteside. Delmar lived in Sand Springs for 38 years, then proceeded to move to Big Flat, Arkansas, then back to the Sand Springs-Sapulpa area for the past 12 years. He was strong in his faith, and a member of the Family Praise Center for over 18 years. Delmar's hobbies included hunting, gardening, tinkering in his workshop, and sitting on the porch watching his purple martins. Delmar is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dixie Whiteside; son Ken Whiteside; daughters Trish Crain and husband Jeff, Rhonda Schexnider and husband Mike; brother Bill Whiteside and wife Betty; sisters Betty Boaz and husband Jay, Thelma Lovelace and husband Rex; Stewart Cole, brother-in-law; his 12 grandchildren, Crystal Maertens, Lisa Conway, Jeremiah Whiteside, Isaac Whiteside, Brad Crain, Brandon Crain, Brian Crain, Mandy Seitz, Josh Schexnider, Mikella Selsor, Jacob Schexnider, and Lacey Davis; his 21 great grandkids, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Delmar was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Mable and Coy Whiteside; sister Lela Cole; and daughter Deborah Whiteside. A service will be held in Church That Matters of Sand Springs at 10am on Monday, July 26th, 2021, with a graveside service following immediately after at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery of Sand Springs.
