Gary Joseph Warner was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 3, 1953 and died February 18, 2014. He was a freelance artist and spent the majority of his life in Tulsa.\r\r\n\r\r\nGary Joe attended the Tulsa Public Schools for eleven years and graduated from Hominy High School in 1971. He studied at the Santa Fe Art Institute, Kansas City Art Institute and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. \r\r\n\r\r\nGary Joe was a member of the Osage and Omaha tribes. He enjoyed history, cross-country and was a devoted son to his mother. He was a member of the Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. \r\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Warner, Jr. and Marion Louise Warner.\r\r\nHe is survived by his brother, Charles Thomas Warner; sisters, Theresa K. Dean, and Virginia Warner DeHaas of Olympia, Washington; nephew, Erick Patrick Fox of Clinton and niece, Nichole Kristen Miller; great-nephew Sage Charles Fox of Clinton and great-niece Alanna C. Miller. \r\r\n\r\r\n\r\r\nPrivate family services will be held.
